On Sunday, July 18 Travis Rilat and his crew member, Tyson Perez were involved in a non-racing related accident. Both Rilat and Perez suffered severe burns when a methanol barrel exploded. The two were transported to Harborview Hospital in Seattle where Rilat remains in critical condition. Perez lost his life on Tuesday, July 21 due to the injuries sustained during the explosion. Supporters of Rilat, the 2003 ASCS National champion from Forney, TX and Perez, his Australian crew member can send tax deductible donations by clicking on the "Donate" button on the right. Ty's funeral will take place on Monday, August 23rd, at Midday 12.00pm. It will be held at the Yarraville Club, 135 Stephen St. Yarraville, Victoria Australia. No Flowers by Request.
